Panic! at the Disco were the Headliner's for the Rock Band Tour show last night at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA.
Excellent show. Great lighting (even better on Dashboard Confessional).
Couldn't really see the Drummer and Keyboardist from the pit since they were up on these massive column platforms (see pic 1)

All shot with my trusty 50mm f/1.8. Except the sound board shot(#1) which was with a P&S.

All are ISO 800, Aperatures of f/3.5 to f/5 (it was awesome shooting f/5) and Shutter speeds of 1/125 to 1/250!!!

I love arena shows!

#2, 4, 6 and 7 are very nice.

Again; ridiculous amount of light ;)

Thanks all. I love my little 50mm. I wish the focus was a little faster. I miss the IS lenses I was using over the summer.

Gosh, now that's what I call lighting! Lucky you being able to shoot at iso 800. Super set, I particularly like Bden's puppy dog eyes in 4 and the pic of Ryan (7). You get bonus points for capturing most of the drummer's face.

5 and 7 for me. the 1st shot is a nice full-stage shot but hte players are over-exposed (this is always a tricky situation)

2, 4, 6 and 7 are the ones I like. #1 is too hot on the players (echo narlus' comment on how tough that is to get right). I know I usually bump the f/stop up and slow down the shutter...you get a feel for the right combo.

I think I would have cropped #6 to leave less room on the left-hand side.

#1 was the Sony P&S on high ISO (3200) so it did it's own thing.

I like the cropping idea on 6. I'll have to try that.
