Yesterday I posted THIS (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59089) thread containing a shot of a blue tit. I decided to have another go, so despite the snow and cold I returned today and got my self established for a bit of a wait.

I'm glad I took my flask of coffee!

But here is the result

Also had a Robin flitting about

Then one of the resident squirrels turned up to cause trouble

Back in the car park there was a Chaffinch foraging about. Be rude not to take the opportunity

And also a goldfinch (I Think...)

Practice I feel may be starting to pay of a little. Comments (and any critique) welcome

All shots taken with 20D, 10-400L, ISO 200-400

Very nice series of shots Richard. I can't get over how much different your Robins look from ours.

Very nice shots, Richard.
It's hard enough to fill the frame with small birds like these but you've also managed to isolate them from background clutter, and the background is also nicely out of focus. Well, three of them at least, but I still like the Chaffinch.

You also asked for critique and I was wondering if maybe the levels and colour balance needed a tweek, just looked a tad on the dull side to me.

Very well done, Richard. I have never seen one of these birds before except for the goldfinch.

Great series of shots. Must have been tough to accomplish.
