Hi Jim;

Good HDR work here...

1,2 & 3 look a little on the dark side to me, whereas #4 looks pretty well spot on...

Cheers;

Lee

Nice, I really like the HDR effects.

I really like the shots, however I feel HDR is distracting to the viewer and detracts from the actual subject of the shot. HDR has uses, like getting an incredible dynamic range and depth in an image that you otherwise couldnt. I think though, that a lot of people use it for a visual trick rather than a tool. These look over-done to me.

I really like the shots. Just wish I could see them normal or with less of that heavy tone-mapping effect.

I agree with what AlphaChicken is saying... I think these shots could really stand up on their own, without the HDR effect. It would be interesting to see them as they were - with minimal processing.

Thanks for the replies,, I know alot of people are not fond of the "HDR" type photos,, I too often think some of them look over cooked, however I do like some images that have that certain out of the ordinary quality to them,, just average exposed and developed shots gets boring sometimes,, I like to kick it up a notch every now and then,, personally I like the effects here, the sky is bolder, colors are enriched and I think it works on these images, not everyone will agree, but thats what keeps everyones work different and intersting,, these are some older shots that have been reworked using a software called Topaz Adjust, they offer a 30 day free trial and I tried it on these,,and to be honest I'm happy with the results,, I do appreciate everyones comments and I'm not getting deffensive just expressing a viewpoint,,Thanks again for commenting guys and would love to hear any other opinions as well !!
