This is one of our police dogs. He is such a pretty pup. Still a puppy at 2 years old. This is shot with a 5D and 70-200 2.8L IS (I love this combo) There is nothing else to shoot around here (deployed military) since its all brown buildings and sand. I am sad that I am not getting the chance to shoot more.

That camera set up is probably one of my favorites too. Beautiful dog...makes me miss my German Sheppard, why are the ears numbered?

His ear has a tattoo because thats how the military identifies the pups. Dont worry, they are asleep when they get their ink.

Great looking dog! I'd love to have a German Shep but I dont like how they drop their hair all over the place..

I guess I'll just stick with my standard poodles :D

Nice tattoo! You can read that thing from a mile away. Oh, very nice dog, too. :-)

Sand can be fun, just get creative!

Until then, you have a beautiful subject there! Great shot of a beautiful dog.

Thanks to you, and a biscuit to your K9 pal!

Would you like me to mail you some shells?

LoL thanks for the offer, but I highly doubt they would make it through customs.

Berlotti Photography, was the shot taken through a fence?

Great looking guy. Germ Sheps are some of the best dogs I've ever been around. I had a buddy who's dad was a cop who took in a retired NARC Officer (German Shepherd). So smart. So loyal.

Yes it is, even if you were to send something, I am soon to leave so I might not be here when it gets here. :D I do appreciate it. LoL plus the sand here is more like powder than beach sand. Its very strange sand. On second thought, send me an ocean, and a 6 pack of beer.

Berlotti Photography, was the shot taken through a fence?

Nope, why do you ask?

[\quote]Somehow I don't think it would make it through!! The ocean though....that has really possibilities!!!

How about you stop in Cincinnati and I buy you lotsa beers?:D

Sounds like a plan to me! There is no such thing here as it is illegal. Actually my whole mission in life when I leave here is getting back to my family, and THEN getting the beers. LoL too bad a thimble of beer will get me lit at this point.

Hey, me too. A thimble is all it takes. But then, that's cuz I'm gettin' old. :D

Seriously, if you're ever in Cincy, beer is on me. Of course, I'm likely to make you show me how to use this camera I have before you get drunk. And please bring a designated driver. lol

LoL, what makes you think I even know how to use the gear I have?

Well, you got that dog pic out of the camera and managed to post it in the thread......I've managed to put my camera in RAW. I downloaded DPP and did my version of processing (and I use that term losely). But I've yet to figure out how to take that adjusted RAW file and move it into my photobucket......once I manage to learn some of that, I think I might set up a zenfolio. But I think I'll be about ten years older by then.

I figure you've at least got a gear list and a pic of a dog.
You've got me beat in spades!!

ok, I just looked at your gear list...you've got things that I don't even know what they are....let alone how to use them!
