I know it's early, but my daughters Th Grade team has already started. We are playing in a very dark gym in Edmonds, Washington, just north of Seattle. Please provide feedback on my pictures. All pictures were take with my can 85 1.8 lens. No PP, cropping, or noise ninja yet.....

The Set Shot looks great...I suspect the Cougars/Huskies will be calling you sooner then later.
But you want C&C on the photos. Look good! I notice you said you haven't cropped yet - that's really the only thing I see!

#4 is awesome! just need some cropping like what magic24 said. the vantage point is different from the usual basketball shots but i kinda like it.
your daughter have a fantastic jumpshot. the release is perfect. not too many kids have that kind of release at that age. she'll be a real good baller someday.

From a coaching stand point I see a lot of things I try to teach - collection step to get the body in the shot, load the elbow, follow through, actually jump on the jump shot (you'd be amazed how many don't)...so that's good.
From a photography stand point let's not call Wash or Wash State just yet :P - it's difficult to tell because these are pretty small and not cropped close. Crop them down to the action and post 600 or so at largest length (800 does even better) for evaluation because it's hard to tell from "web ready" (i.e. small) images. From what I can see they look good and not nearly as dark as the gyms around here, which are dungeons.

Other than some cropping, I think you got the exposure right.
This season in australia, I have started shooting from my 70-200 2.8 to the 200 1.8
Other than not having the zoom aspect, I am able to get my exposure and shutter speed right.
Local stadiums in a few weeks will tell me if I am on track.
