View Full Version : Tiny TAK(FS-60) First Light

This is a two frame mosaic taken with my TAK FS-60. The 60 is little more than a finder scope so I was pleased to see it gather this much light in only an hour. This is a preliminary look, I need to work it some more in PS but wanted to show what can be done with very little aperture. Plus it's my first image with this scope since getting it.

Steve , this is more than just a great shot ! I have never seen these two stitched in to make a WF image like this with excellent detail and clarity ! This Steve , is EXCELLENT ! This should make it on APOD so very easy and i wouldn't waste much time getting it there or perhaps some Publishing would be even better ! Get paid for it there . This great shows everything in perspective to size ! If it were mine it definitly would be enlarged and framed on my wall ! Thanks for sharing this excellent image Steve !

Ron, thanks buddy, it came out better than expected for such a little scope. I had to crop off some of the frames because the SKY 90 flattener is not working with the FS-60 even though online retailers claim it does, probably fine for visual but not photographic. The dedicated flattener for the FS-60 is $320, I may be cropping for a while longer. :D

Amazing what a little scope in the hands of experience can do. Amazing image! Is this prime or eye-piece projection?
