Just bought the S230 last week.
Can't explain it but even though I have red-eye reduction on, I still get red-eye.
Am I doing something wrong or am I not using it in the correct situation?

Hi Coeng.
I asked a similar question a few weeks back, but for the S200. From the replies I received, it would appear that this is a problem with the Canon approach to red-eye reduction on this range of cameras. Put another way, it doesn't work.
I have resigned myself to using the provided imaging software to remove the red eyes on my PC.

Make sure when you shoot you have the
red eye on. I think I did not have it on.
Please check also the manual,
it says the subject has to look at the red eye
reduction lamp, etc...
Few of my pictures had very bad red eye, others
surprisingly did not have any.
I got my new s230, great stuff, took around
300 pictures in 2 days.
