I saw this seal perched in a rock at Point Lobos in Monterey. Looks like he/she had been to the vet and was now being tracked. Taken with the new 100-400L.

Wow, what a great shot. I love the background water. Point Lobos is such a magical place. You captured it like a pro. I really like the tracking device. It shows man and nature living together in the modern world.

It would be cool if you could find out who put the tracker on this sea lion. I bet they would love a copy of this photo.

RJ, thanks..

I was trying to figure out how it was attatched myself.

RbnDave, Thanks for the compliment. Maybe I'll have to do some searching and see if I can find out who put it there.

cactusclay, thank you also. I had to laugh when I read your post! I was thinking the new wirelss internet hookup myself.

Nice shot - unique capture.

But all the guesses are wrong - this is in fact the latest innovation in seafood restaurants. You place your order, the waiter e-mails the seal and it goes and catches the fish for you. :)

Super-Glue!

Must be uncomfortable when he wants to lay on his back . . .
