Ballet shots in studio

Some shots taken of my niece today, only had on camera flash and fluroscent lights in studio, so had to use hi iso 1000+ slowish shutter, wide F, any comments plese, also what sort of light setupt should I be looking at for next shoot

I'd try to bounce the flash.
Note how the mirror image looks nicer then the "real girl" in #1, due to the direction of the light?

thanks for comment see what you mean about reflected image.

Only flash I have at moment is one built into 40D, what sort of flash should I be looking for on or off camera?
