I like the photochopped versions. Mind walking us through what you did to convert them?

Well.. actually its so simple, im even ashamed: all i did to these pics was image -> adjustments -> auto levels... and i did it by accident :D

I'm drawn to clouds but I like to include some other element to the photo.
I posted one shot a few days ago that included what I thought was an impressive cloud. Virtually no response. Then again, it didn't get slammed either. Really doesn't matter if they appeal to you personally, right?
BTW. I thought your images (post processing) were fine. I'd be happy with them.

i was shooting something else that day.. a sunset, and these clouds were higher in the sky, so i just shot them for the shooting, you know how it is... the sunset pics turned out fine, so did the processed clouds. :)

I'm with ayotnoms - I love clouds but they need to be supported by the landscape. The recent "Cloudscapes" postage stamp series is a good example. 15 spectacular cloud types and every one includes the ground in the image.

I sometimes get really different images with nothing but Auto Levels. Can't always understand the extreme change versus another where only minor change occurs. Anyway, now I rarely use Auto Levels.
