Battery for SD770

I purchased an SD770. The included battery is an NB-6L. This battery is hard to find and expensive.

Can I use an NB-4L from my older SD600 or even a readily available NB-5L as a spare or backup?

No. I don't think they're even the same size. If you visit Sterlingtek (http://www.sterlingtek.com) you can get an NB-6L equivalent for $20 plus shipping.

Good case of "Now why didn't I think of that" The batteries appear to be similar, but they are NOT interchangeable. I just tried.
