im doing a studio shoot soon with flash units ,my question is should i change any settings in the parameters to help get better results with flash.

I would shoot in Raw format, and I don't think the parameters matters in raw.

Shooting on manual is good if you have enough light.

Yea just turn the camera on and mash the button, in raw it doesnt matter 1/8000th @ f22 or 2" @ f1 Just make sure to use an omnibounce, RAW doesn't work with the flash straight on ;) ;)

Since when didn't aperture matter? Are you trying to say RAW negates DOF variation?

Yeah I would say to be more accurate that shooting in RAW gives you more flexibality in post processing. But the more accurate you can get it then the easier it will be.

I think the point is that the flash will make up for smaller apertures by putting out more light.

I don't think the capture mode has anything to do with how well the flash works, it's more to do with the distance to the subject and the positioning. If something's parallel to the lens plane you'll get reflections, which take a bit of effort to get under control.

Should we assume this is tongue in cheek as I find it difficult to believe anyone would seriously suggest this...
