300D Remote

Anyone have any bad experiences with the $10-$15 range "import" remotes for the 300D? What do you recommend?

Considering remotes can be made from $7 worth of radio shack parts i dont think you'd have to worry too much.

I never got around to making one though, but instructions can be found easily.
