Hi,

I need a filter for my 17-40L as I want to get the correct exposure on the sky and foreground. I have read that the best for this is the circular polarizer. I mostly photograph landscapes. So was hoping for some help on which would be a good option.
Would rather not spend too much unless necessary ie under £100.

Thanks,
Fred

No a CPL wont help with this. What you want is a graduated neutral density filter. The most popular I believe is the Cokin P series for the holder with some Lee filters.

I recommend the Hi-Tech range of ND Grads. You'll get a complete kit of grads for much less than your budget.
