Besides being a SAHM to my daughter, I watch a 23 month old little boy, Will. He has such an attitude for a little boy. I caught one of his Leave me alone expressions when My daughter was being a nudge ;) .
BTW i did shoot this RAW (ive been getting more and more comfy)

Great expresion.
The shots seems soft to me, and it would have been nice to get the whole head in the shot. I would add some contrast to bring out the eyes alittle more.

thanks... ill go ahead and fix that. I cut part of his head off because that smidge of the background you see our stairs (which has stuff that needs to be put away ;) )
Ill go ahead and bump some contrast and the softness could be because i uploaded it to photobucket. because its not Flickr worthy ;)

I just did a bit more editing, and emailed his mom. She expressed tons of thanks! She loves it so much!... what do you think?

Wow, the eyes on the second one are very nice. I never would have guessed the compression would have done all of that.

No the compression didnt make the eyes bad .. I hadnt sharpened them yet.. The compression did make the overall image very soft though.

Photobucket stinks, but your second image would make me very happy if I were his mom too. Nice job! I'm curious where in MD you are...I've got dear friends in Cockeysville.

Please take my suggestion with a grain of salt as I'm far from being a pro...
My thought would be that next time if you were to shoot him from an angle looking slightly down at him rather than looking up at him, those gorgeous eyes would be even bigger when he's looking up at you. Just my observation, but love your edit on the eyes!!

Animalhouse... i agree with you, my issue is , have you ever shot toddlers? My 18 month old running around like a mad-child, and this little 23 month old getting mad , it was a grab the camera quick situation! But i totally understand and the shot could have been better, but for what it is, im pretty proud of it

I understand, and I remember :) My kids are all grown, but my first grandchild is almost 9 months, and he's moving faster by the day. (My first studio shots are displayed in my gallery) And yes, it is a beautiful shot!
