Silly question, I looked this up in the manual and didn't see what how the refresh function is supposed to work. I hit the button and the light turns green. I assume that this function is to drain a battery and re-charge? Anybody have the details on this?

Thanks

Jim

yes, when you press the button, it begins to drain the battery. you should see both the red 'charge' light and the yellow 'refresh' light illuminated. depending on how charged your battery is, it will take up to 7 or so hours to deplete the battery. after that, the refresh light will go out and the battery will be charging again.

btw, there are quite a few posts here and on other boards about the initial charge/refresh cycles. many have recommended charge and refresh cycles 3 times. after this, you can then refresh about once per month for heavy use of the battery (less with less frequent use of the battery). note that you can still shoot after the initial charge, just refresh it before the next recharge. also note: do not refresh the battery before the initial charge. charge first.
