View Full Version : curious on how to shoot those colorful water drop shots..

okay. i'm curious on how you guys get those beautiful water shots..where you have a drop of water with a black background.. the water has something reflecting in it whether its a light filter or an object. i also love the dew drops with the flowers behind them.. anyway.. can someone give me a rought estimate of the shutter speed/ lighting and such on how to shoot these.. there very interesting and i'd like to try my own. a few examples are:

non of his photo's are showing up on my screen. but i read where he explains it.. i will try that.

all those posts that you linked to didn't have the black background...i don't know how you can get a black background and colorful photo...but you can get a colorful photo simply by placing a colored piece of paper behind where you are dropping the water...it will reflect
the colors in the shot...i took this one with just a blue mat behind it...the exif should be intact still
