I was installing Zoombrowser EX 4.1 and my computer suddenly got restarted.
But thats not the problem, the real problem is that Zoombrowser is incompletly installed.
Now, i cant open it, it says "Not Installed" . I cant uninstall it from anywhere ,if i try to it says "This feature is only for installed Components".
And finally, i cant even re-install it, during install it says "A version of Zoombrowser EX is already installed, Setup will now Upgrade"......then it says "Error, Setup Cancelled".
Can someone please tell me how to remove zoombrowser ex completly from my system, so that i can re-install it. This problem has really got me frustrated.

If you're running Windows, go into C:\program files\canon\ and delete the ZoomBrowserEX folder and try it again.
If running Mac OSX, go into Application/Canon/ and move the ZoomBrowserEX folder to the trash can. (Note: I'm not sure if it's Canon or "Canon Utilities" but you'll know which it is when you go into the Application folder).

If Pacace tip doesn't work use MS Installer Clean-up for that programme only?

There's a good chance that advice won't work. Windows has a nasty "registry" which is incomprehensible by humans. It stores data about what programs are installed. Data is likely in the registry telling windows that the program is already installed.

Hey Everybody, i'm back.
I'm running Win98. I've already tried deleting the Zoombrowser folder from Program Files, but that did not help.
I even edited to Registry using regedit.....i deleted the entries for zoombrowser in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Canon........ but still these problem persists. Anyone know where i can find the remaining traces of the program????

I have version 4.5. I could e-mail it to you. It is only about 10 meg. It might install over the older version. PM or e-mail me if interested.

I hope you realized that there are probably multiple entries of zoombrowser in the registry. You'd need to go into EVERY subdirectory of every directory and there's no guarantee you'll find everything.
