Great news for use Canadians! Been looking at these for over a year now to replace the older PD70X/HD80.

Been told by Hyperdrive USA that Sensuz Media is starting to import these into Canada now.

SENSUZ HYPERDRIVES (http://www.sensuz.com/estore/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?osCsid=7ed031e36a7ff847 b149e8874f561cfd&keywords=hyperdrive&osCsid=7ed031e36a7ff847b149e8874f561cfd&x=0&y=0)

Comparing the units with hard drives in them, looks like Sensuz is lower than Henrys by about $30-40 per unit.

I was going to buy it from Hyperdrive USA, but after the exchange and shipping, it works out to be cheaper for us Canadians to buy from Sensuz.

Mods, if linking not allowed, please feel free to edit.

Too bad Sensuz doesn't have the Colorspace O (yet?).

I think the only difference is the larger screen and sideway viewing.
I don't know if it's worth it just for that.

If even accepts less cards...
$50 USD would work out to too much of a diff for only that difference.

great...more garbage for canadians.

if you trust using any brand of these same type of products, well I sure hope you will be ready for the shock they will bring to one's heart when they lose their master boot sector and all you files.

buy flash card instead.

Sounds like you have some experience with this ;-)

Sorry to hear that.

I wasn't aware there were multiple brands for this product.
I've had a PD70X for 5 years with never a problem. Then again, I don't keep them stored too long on the drive. Plus I always reformat after copying the files from here onto computer.

There is always a risk when dealing with hardrives, from computer to this to the Epson PX000's.

I would be careful if using the digimate or dooin stuff...but these Hyperdrives have stood the test for me so far...

I considered that, but if I were to get one, I'd be using it to back up and review photos I've taken while on the road. There are times when I just can't bring a laptop along, so a Hyperdrive would be very handy. $50 difference just for the screen does seem a bit high, but may be well worth the price depending how you intend to use the Hyperdrive.

The lack of support for MS Pro Duo is not a concern, since I can't see myself using anything other than CF in the foreseeable future! MS is a terrible format IMO, along with the other proprietary cards like xD...

I used an old Digital Wallet for many years. It has spent well over 2 years in places like Cuba... been kicked around a lot and, if it had sufficient capacity, I would still be using it today.

Mind you, they don't make hard drives like they used to. You can buy ruggedized drives for more money. Probably well worth the extra expense.
