Help with the A60!

I am having a minor annoyance with my Canon A60. Each time I format the memory, it reverts to storing the pics as "IMG_000", which is problematic because I run into the same file names over and over, asking me to rewrite. I use the camera for work, and try to sort them chronologically by file name... This is impossible as if I end at, say, IMG_123 and then format the memory, I go back to IMG_000

Is there a way to tell the camera to continue naming the files even after the memory is formatted? For example, end at IMG_345, format, then continue at IMG_346. Thanks for your help!

With the camera on,push the "MENU" button below the display.Select the "SET UP" menu. Scroll down to the "File No. Reset" and select "OFF", then "SET" and then "MENU" to finish. If you are still unsure, go to page 116 of the "Camera User Guide".
