#1 is nice, but I'd crop it a bit.
#3 is nice.
#2 is problematic like you say ;). Did you shoot raw?

Thanks. This time I only took JPEG. Any advices or tips to look for?

Gave it a quick try in PS: I duplicated the BG layer, and ran an USM of 20/20/0 to improve local contrast.
Since there were no blown colors, channel mixer wasn't needed, but I used one anyway to give a bit more leeway: Red channel: R=90; G=10. Blue channel: G=10; B=90.
Then a curves adjustment layer to boost contrast a bit.

If you turn on Image editing OK (In the user CP), I can post it ;)
