Cleared for take off on runway seven . . . with a bright ten o'clock sun shining down on his wings, and a slight spray of snow and ice from that 'first' leap into the air, this one is off. Today was clean, clear and crisp and I am out looking for things that move. I am working on a new style for me of faster shutter speeds, regardless of how I have to do it. This goose was taken at f/10, shutter speed of 1250, ISO 200 and at a zoom length of 400mm.

That goose had its flaps up and its gear down!

For your next trick, see if you can get it head-on.

Unlike Owls . . . and other certain people, geese fly away from me, not towards me Bob. However I did catch this break neck shot of this one and partner landing . . . a little on the long side, but how do they do that?

I like the way the wings are spread with the tips up, even if it is the backside of another bird.

Great shots on that first one looks as if he lost a little weight in the rump he might be able to take off a little quicker

Cool pics I really like the first one.

Yes, the warm glow of the sun made his feathers a bit more brown that I usually see them . . . but that was fine. He does look a little chubby btw. I can't get over the 'bent' necks on the second shot, that must hurt.

Just some fun things to share . . . thanks as always.
