View Full Version : Screws fell out on G2 body

I was wondering if anyone had a problem with the screws on the body of their Gx series camera. I noticed a few weeks ago that about 4 of the screws on my G2 body had somehow fallen off. I haven't tried to replace them yet as I did a temp fix with tape and some super glue. But has anyone had any luck finding replacement screws since I think they might be made specifically for Canon or any suggestions? I figured contacting Canon might be a good idea as well.

Ive lost plenty of screws but none from the camera body.

Try at any optics shop - they have different small screws for repairing of glasses. You could contact Canon as well.

:eek: Superglue? If you put that in the screw holes, you're as they say "screwed".

Lost some screws ... yes, about 5 so far on my G2.
Replaced them ... naah, not yet, still holds together. Lazy :o.

sweet! i might have a go at that this week.

nope! i know my ghetto quick fixes enough that to do that. i just put a small dad on the corner in case i ever need to open it and figured that would be easy to break the bond.

I had the same problem. Was out of the country and noticed 4 screws missing this past week. Very weird thing to happen. I also have the G2 body and two were missing from the bottom and one from the top and one on the side. Tried to find screws out of the country but no such luck. Could you help me if you find any and where.

Funny you should mention it, A few screws fell out of G1 the other day. Luckily I saw where they fell and screwed them back in.
