I like the subject, but it doesn't do anything for me in those tones. I am assuming that you've desaturated it. Was the colour photo more vibrant?

I used DPP to change colors to sepia from the RAW file.
Furthermore that day the colors were quite flat (no sun, low sky, white clouds)

by vibrant you mean more saturated colors ? or a better repartition of the color in histogram ?

Nice one, the sepia works for me. I like the subject It is an interesting vessel and would be worth experimenting to see it shot from some different angles.
