I'll be getting my S40 or S45 in a few days; very excited, 1st digital camera. I want to read up and improve my knowledge about everything photography before it arrives. I don't even know what ISO means, so please point me to any good sites that can teach me the basics. I read somewhere that the manuals don't really have a lot of background info. How would you recommend I go about my journey from idiot to pro?!

Thanks

The photocourse site mentioned above is a great place to start.

Good general photography sites, not specific to digital, include Kodak's site and the "Making Photographs" article on photo.net:

Enjoy,
