Glowing & stained glass effect

I thought I would post this one for a c&c
The first one has an HDR effect applied and the second one
the 'glowing' 'zoominess' was added after but not too much else was done
with the picture. Thoughts, ideas....etc

I really like the way the second one looks, the only slightly distracting thing that i only noticed after staring at the picture for a while is the white area on the top .... if you can get rid of that by cloning it out the picture would be perfect. :)

The second one is more promising, but it still needs some work. Like Kissa said, the white in the top of the frame is very distracting. Plus, I don't like the angle. I think a crop could do it some good as well.
