Was in vegas this past week. Still learning about my Rebel. Here are a few shots I liked.

The rest of the photos are at the link below. Wishing I had a little more practice before I went. Guess I will just have to go again soon.

Great "thru the glass" pic of the cats. I'd like to get on the roof of the Beligio and try to get some shots of the water show.

Thanks. it was rather hard to shoot through the glass. mostly due to bad angles and too many people. Most nights were too rainy to get up into the effiel tower and watch the fountains. Those do make for the best pics. 28-135 barely fits through the square opening on the view deck.

I like the way the water shows in the first photo.
Good job for being unfamiliar with your camera.

The bellagio fountains were shot at ISO 800, 1/30th shutter, f/5.6 aperature, at 28mm using a 28-135mm IS lens on a 300D.
The volcano at Mirage ISO 800, 1/8th shutter f/5.6 aperature at 65mm. All shots are handheld. I really need to invest in a tripod.

I agree what you said about the lions. The first time I visited Vegas I stayed at the MGM. I would spend a while watching the lions. The lady said they have a rotation of 30 lions they bring to the MGM Grand. They all looked like big pushovers too.
