View Full Version : ANOTHER STUPID QUESTION... (bulb setting on 300D)

I just received my remote release for my Digital Rebel, and it seems to work just swell. However, I'm not able to figure out how to set my camera to the "bulb" setting to keep the shutter open for an extended period of time. I've looked through the manual and, maybe because I've only had 24 cups of coffee today, I can't seem to find it.

I'd appreciate an assist. Thanks!

Steve

Steve,

You have a propensity to post these threads with no indication of the actual question in the title,. and I invaribly end up editing the title for you to reflect the actual question...

Could we forgo this added step in the future? ;)

Anyway,. I don't have a rebel or the manual to reference,. so I can't answer your question :(

But I will take the liberty of editing your thread title (edit in paranthesis) to reflect the actual question.

Good luck,
I hope this helps

My apologies.

I'll pay closer attention to that...

You need to be in manual exposure. Dial the shutter speed to slower settings and it'll stop at "bulb".

If you look on page 79 in the manual it tells how to use the bulb setting. must be in <M> mode for bulb shooting. It is the next step after 30 sec.

I spent 20 years in the Navy. 24 cups of coffee will barely even wake me up these days.

Rebel, you 'da man! Don't know how I missed it, but there it was.

Thanks!
