Just wondering how many of you that own the Rebel use custom settings?

What settings do you use and why?

What is the difference in the output from your custom settings?

Just exploring what others do and see if any of the custom setting would help out in any way.

In what way do you mean custom, If I'm shooting in Tv I might change my shutter based on what i'm shooting or what lens I'm using, same if I am shooting Av or M. Do you mean settings like Parameter, image resolution, etc?

Still playing with mine trying different settings and shooting the same picture 6 times and comparing them. I use #2 the most unless I am just playing.

I use RAW, then you don't need to worry about settings. And there aren't really any "custom settings" on a Drebel, unless you have the hack firmware.

'Yea the 10D's user manual, but just keep in mind most of the custom menu has no effect on the rebel, just things like the mirror lockup time, the size of jpeg saved with a raw , etc.

Why parameter 2 than 1? Am I correct in assuming that Parameter one sets the sharpness and contrast up one, while 2 sets them at 0?

Parameter 1 makes the picture punchy enough to go straight to the printer, Parameter 2 Makes the colors seem more natural.
