Yes. It can save up to 300+ pictures if you shoot in RAW. 8gb is more than enough for the job. Get it.

Having recently bought a 50D, I also bought 2 x 32GB Transcend 133X CF cards, one for the 50D and one for the 40D. An 8GB card was just not going to cut it at a wedding with 20MB+ raw files from the 50D. So far, so good, with around 1500 raw shots on one of the cards. Time will tell whether my purchase was wise but I see no reason to run into problems. I have yet to suffer any kind of memory card failure, from any manufacturer.
