it was very dark out on the plains
I happened to meet a man who had two very beautiful dogs with him

I could just about see them
I think by the light of the moonhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

my dog was barking mad at both the man and the dogs
she tries to protect me as she herself was a stray which I found out there
over seven years ago.

the man told me that the white dog here (sheba) was found roaming around the streets of another town
seemly she had had a litter of black pups
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif (which were found in a sack nearby)

he took her home. saw a number on her ear and found out that she had won a few prizes
( before she was dumped)
he already had the other dog (brandy) for years but the two clicked immediately.
what gorgeous dogs.

I tried to get a shot of them while we were finishing the chat
it was really dark and snowing lightly ( bitterly cold )
hoping I was aiming right I used the flash .
the dogs were moving all the time especially sheba , she was really restless

but I got a few shots of them before they went on their way..hoping they came out ok
as the dogs really were gorgeous..even in the dark

Excellent shots, especially under the circumstances. I love the expression on Brandy's face.

Nice shots Marie. If there was ever a sad face on a dog, Brandy's is it. I'm sure she is saying "I,m wet and I want to go home".

it does look like that

they were ready to get into the jeep (which was close by) and home
they had finished their walkies.
we didn't delay too much.
just a few minutes at most as Foxy and I were just going out

Brandy done everything the master told him to...like 'sit' and 'stay'
while Sheba danced around restless.
