Manufacture date on a canon flash ?

I would like to know if it's possible to know the manufacture date on a canon 580EX II flash. If it is, where on the flash I can find this information.

I think the 580ex II is pretty new umm maybe at most is 2 years old?

That is not what i meant. For a lens, you can know exactly when it was manufactured. I would like to know if there is a code on a flash to know the same thing for exemple March 2008.
