Interesting concept. Points for even coming up with it to begin with. You must be hanging out with some of the people in my camera club...
Anywho...
- Very vibrant colors (but the overall contrast is a tad dense due to processing...)
- Nice sharp edge to the glass (but the bokeh of the base seems odd .. cut and pasted almost...)
- Needs something... Maybe a pin light source shining up from directly opposite the lens to put a little sparkle in the ice?
Would be better, IMO, to keep the entire rim of the glass in the frame.
Now, show us the nice juicy extreme closeups you shot as well...! ;)

It looks a bit like someone had their eyeball ripped out and bled in the glass. You can see the eye in the bottom rear section.

That's what I saw also. If the red was not there it would be easier to look at. It's not an easy image to look at but it's hard to turn away. Kind of like Saw.
I would like the upper portion to be more infocus and the stem and base of the glass still out of focus. That might have to be a composite photo to get that.
The photo disturbs me (that may have been you goal) but you did a good job of coming up with it, putting it together and shooting it.
