Hi,

Lets have a collection of your best night shots with an architectural subject- it would be interesting to see the effect the external lighting on various structures.
I'll start wth my own-
1. Royal Albert Hall, London
2. Opera House, Sydney

This is going to sound like such a stupid question but I'm pretty new, or at least haven't done nearly as much shooting as I would like to, but how did you get every aspect of this picture in focus? Did you just use a very high f-stop, and all focus points? Or something else?

Hi there..

90% of the shots were taken at f8.

I used the stock kit lens. So im sure with a better lens it would have come out even better.

Try it at f8 and see how you go :)

I have left EXIF data intact if you wanna have a look at it..

This is a very well timed thread for me. I only got my first tripod yesterday so this is my first attempt at proper night shooting.
Ive been using IS up until now but i can see how much better a tripod can be. Ive got a lot to learn and these shots here are very inspiring. Thank you all.

This shot's been done 100's of times i know but i like it, i took it.

Let me guess... Long Beach CA??? I can't even tell you how much I love that powerplant... Provided me a nice warm channel to waterski in (somewhat legal) and it was always a welcoming sight when flying in on the final leg of a 10 day trip in the citation. That plant was like a welcome home sign.
