Baby Boy in Early Morning Light

Taken in the early morning, North facing window, hand held. c&c needed.

Pretty child, and a good concept. However, the image is very dark. You can't distinguish between his iris and his pupil in his eyes. The focus point doesn't appear to be his eyes. At 1/10th of a second and f7.1, you could easily have opened up the lens to get a better result.

Thanks for looking. When I was doing this shot I was tring to capture the shadows on his face, and forgot about some portrait basic in the process.

Main problem is it is not sharp. The eyes should be tack sharp especially this close of a crop, and they are not. it feels underexposed and those dark shadows could be lighter. shadows are good, but not when they show no detail... unless you are going for a dramatic look, which rarely fits the look with a baby/young child.
