it hops around the garden here also..

I jsut love the Robins you have over in the UK, there so much different than ours here in the States. Great shot

The robins are definately a lot different in the UK then they are in Canada. Our Robins are dark red, and have no white on them. Anyway great shot.

Your European robin is so much different from the American robin (Turdus migratorius). Do you know the scientific name? Our North American guide books don't have it.

Thank you for your kind comments, the scientific name for our European Robin is Erithacus Rubecula. They're an all year round visitor to our gardens in England. Here's another shot of the male half of a blackbird couple that are nesting near here. Sorry about the unsightly bare wood frame, I really must ask the neighbours to paint it!

Interesting blackbird. In North America they have mostly dark bills.
