Well, I'm a little underwhelmed with my trip to the desert this morning. First, it was very, very hazy. The fog was soup-thick on the drive out there. Then to compound my problems, I neglected to check the ISO setting. The last time I used my camera, I was shooting a friend's band at 1600. Consequently, I shot the desert at 1600. Hardly a good thing.

Anyway, here are some pictures from earlier today. With the exception of the obvious ISO faux-pas, how's it?

My favorite is #4:

And a couple more, taken on the drive home:

WOW, things are looking green out there. Nice shots.

Did you go over Sunrise HWY?

I was intending to head up there on the way back, but it was still socked in with fog. Would've been nice to get some forest shots; not today, though...

Too bad things didn't go as expected, still got some great shots out of it though.

Here's one which I intended to post, but spaced it. As I was coming over the Laguna Summit on I-8, I saw this:

Again, I'm not enthralled by the use of ISO 1600, but I guess it looks okay. This was taken about 5:45am yesterday morning. Way too early for normal people to be conscious...
