oh, he is a darling! I think you did great.
the only thing I would change is make it a closer crop at the top...personal preference though! well done.

He looks good to me. Not a fan of angle shots though.

I agree with blondline & Fury, could be a closer crop, loose the space up top and maybe less of the angle.

He's a cutu!

I don't mind the angle although it's typically being overdone these days. I do mind the space above the head like the others stated. Crop this to 4:5 ratio (8x10) and you will probably be able to lose all the extra on top and keep all the width.

The other thing that can help is you need to try and get the subject's face and the background in different keys. See how the face is close to the same tonality as the background? Make them more different and the subject will 'pop' more. Either make the background a stop or two darker than the subject, or a stop or two bright. I think darker would work here.

Another thing that might help, but not quite as much as a whole background tone change is to add a vignette. This will help corral our attention and keep it inside the middle of the frame.

Love the eye color matching the outfit color. Further exploit this by coloring the green snaps to be a shade of blue as well. Currently the green is in high contrast color-wise with the blue and this draws too much attention away from the eyes/face of the baby.

Other than that, love it. Love the focus... where it is as well as where it is not. Good job.

What a darling child!! I dont mind the angle here either and agree with all the above posters. I also think that it could use some noise clean up (it may be my monitor but it just looks a little noisy on my end?) I gave it a three second play on my dinosaur laptop (no calibrated so colors may be off) And here is what I came up with.

Great shot! Very soft lighting. Sometimes, with pictures of my one year old girl, I'll run the pics through a noise reduction program like noiseware or noise ninja. It does a wonderful job smothing baby's skin and getting rid of the blotchiness.

great shot! Kaja's edit looks great-ITA with all others on the space at top. I love the angle, personally. Not fond of Fury's edit, kinda hurts my eyes it's so high contrast, but that's just my opinion :)

Amazing little man! surely will be a heartbreaker.
