Photography class for someone new to SLRs

Can anyone suggest an informal photography training class here in Maryland? You know the kind that lasts about 4-8 hours so that I become more familiar with the SLR camera.

Any help is appreciated.

Do you have a local adult ed school near you? Lots of times those or junior colleges offer those types of classes for a small fee.

Check and see if you have a local camera club...many offer mentoring programs with one on one instruction. Great way to learn. There is one in Gaithersburg.....http://www.gaithersburgcameraclub.org/
