Cassiopeia and the Tree

A shot from the backyard in the center of town. Cassiopeia doing the dance around one of the trees. Wish it would have been still that night but a breeze blurred the tree quite a bit.

That is all availiable light. I live in the center of town. Literally one block from the county couthouse which is lit up bigtime with sodium lights. The leaves were red enough with the fall colors and the orange light let me really reduce the red which helped darken the sky even more. I also have a bank and grocery store right next door and all their security lights mean I have an excess of light pollution around me. I have one little corner of the house where I can get the camera out of most of the light. Makes for a very narrow field of view but Cassiopeia happened to be in the right spot at that moment.
