Afternoon game. Images were with a D3 and a D300 with either a Nikon 70-200 or the Sigma 300mm.

Great location would pay just for the view.
Nice clean pictures, but frankly can't see that they are better than when you shot with a Canon. Do you find that the printed results are better or not.

khall to be honest the only reason i moved to nikon is because i never shot them before and I wanted to give them a chance. At the time I was not to highly invested in Canon so a I made the switch. I think both cameras are wonderful and would use both in a heart beat.

Great series, nice to have the light to work with. The H.S. team I follow will play their second play off game tonight, both have been after dark:( If they advance they should finally get a day game.:)

I really like your capture on #6, just wish the kids wouldn't paint themselves up to look like they're members of KISS.

Beautiful back drop on #8, I love football but would have a hard time watching the game while having the snow covered mountains behind me to look at. But then I'm on these barren Kansas plains.

Thanks for sharing.

Very clean Matt. How was it to manage two bodies? I missed so much action last night with only the 300 on. I had at least 5 pass plays right in front of me. Great back drop for a game.

Dan,

It was hard at first because I didn't know where to put the 2nd body. But as the game went by I figured it out. The bad part is that now that I have used two bodies for football I want them now! lol

Just can't afford a 2nd body right now though. But it was great having a 70-200 when action was closer.

Ohhhh Matthew! The possabilities with that background....

Nice shots, look like a good even light - hopefully will get that here as I'll be shooting for about 8 hours in a row today. Gotta love #51 in the background of 6, reminds me of the good ol' days as a lineman celebrating at a distance before running down the reciever/back and tackling him on my own.

lol yeah this year when I was coaching af2 our receivers at times would run by a lineman coming to celebrate with them. I quickly and I mean quickly said if they EVER did that again after they just ran down the entire field to celebrate with you, your ass is not going to play again!

Needless to say it didn't happen again! lol Gotta give props to the guys that allow you to get that TD

The last one is pretty sweet, but I'd suggest again the vignetting.
