I am using a Canon Power Shot A70. It came with Zoom browser EX 4.5.1a. I am finding out that their is alot of problems with this software. I recently had a bad virus on my computer and had to do a complete reformat and reinstall of all my software. But when I tried to reinstall the Zoom browser I crashed again. So now I have not installed it and my computer is running fine. I know now that if I want to get my pictures into my computer for digital editing I will have to use a card reader. Which is fine. My question is I am into Astrophotography and I liked the Remote capture function. So what is safe to install from the CD? It also contains Photo Record 1.6, PhotoStitch 3.1.10, Remote Capture 2.7.5, File viewer utility 1.3.2, Camera twain driver 6.0/5.0, and camera WIA driver 6.0/5.0. Are any of these programs ok to install or should I just not try at all? My system is Windows 98 2nd edition. The crashing error I was getting was required dll file shlwapi.dll was not found. Must reinstall WIndows. Any help in this matter will be appreciated.
