This is my first try....I like it, but if it is completely off, let me know because there is no other way to learn.

The HDR version brought out a lot of detail in the shadows which is what it's supposed to do. What program did you use?

While you can use 3 copies from a single RAW, using more RAWs shot with different exposures is much better. Although, yours here looks pretty darn good. Very natural. My tastes lie towards a little of the HDR look though. :)

Thank you for the feedback. I like very natural looking pictures but I can see why people enjoy the "HDR look". I don't know if I will be utilizing it often, but I do see it being beneficial for shots like this one. BTW...photomatix makes it almost too easy to manipulate pictures...I've been playing all afternoon...haha!

I know, that latest update is great. Makes them look better than ever. :)
