I have photoshop CS but could not figure out how to make nice borders like the following pics, can anyone of you point me the way of hacing a white line and black frame outside? currently I use the stroke function to create the black border, but how do you get the white line in volved inside the border?
Thanks in advance.

That first one is a very basic border. Just follow these steps:
Use Image->Canvas Size four times, making sure the center anchor point is selected in the Canvas Size dialog, and relative should be checked:
1) Width:2 Height:2 color:white
2) Width:10 Height:10 color:black
3) Width:2 Height:2 color:white
4) Width:20 Height:20 color:black
That should give you the general idea. Create an action with the above 4 steps and you can just run that action whenever you want to add that border in just one step.

it says
The New Canvas Size is smaller than the current canvas size; some clipping will occur when I do the first step, and it crops out my image to 2 x 2 cm.....

Make sure "relative" is checked on the Canvas Size dialog.
