So I was politely asked to shoot this band, and I replied "OH yea!". They are a local band located in Sabinal (near San Antonio TX). I kinda went blind not knowing what kind of light setup they had or anything, I had brought an off camera flash which I did utilize. The music was pretty awesome. They have a myspace page here (http://www.myspace.com/southtexasrevolution). So here are a few of the shots. Please let me know what you think, and how I could improve or any other recommendations. If you are going to point out something wrong, please tell me how I can correct it or prevent it for next time. Appreciate it! Thanks for looking!

I think 3 and 6 are the best of those shown. The 3rd is a real classic composition. I like the intimacy of 6. But they are missing a little something and I'm not sure exactly what it is. They just don't have that jump off the screen at you look. They are all a little warm.

This would make them look a lot like everyone else images. But you might try bumping the exposure just a little, then the contrast and saturation or vibrancy.

What do you think about this edit? I bumped the exposure, contrast, saturation and added a little vig.

I had dropped the saturation due ot the strong reds (from the stage lights.)

I do like your edit though.

maybe better lighting would have been more helpful?

I think you may be better off by bumping the overall saturation up but then selectively desaturating the red/orange just a little.

I like the first three images. Yes, better lighting would have helped obviously.
The edit is nice, but oversaturated IMO.

Thanks. Lighting was hellish...Next time attending a gig of this sort, should I bring 2 strobes/flashes to work with? Is that generally acceptable?

I think # 2 is the best here. That one says performer while the others don't....to me, at least.

Thanks for the comment, I wish they were more active and could have caught some good moments of them really jammin, but didn't get the chance :( Think they are still fairly getting into the groove of live shows. Surely next time they will be ;)
