Hi-
These are some pics I took of the dog I married into :) since I got into digital photography about a year ago. C&C welcome on all aspects - composition, exposure, PP. Don't pull any punches - looking to get schooled here!

Thanks!

All taken with Rebel XT w/ kit lens.

4. (I know this one is soft, but i think it's b/c of the AF, not the exposure. Frustrating nonetheless)

I love #5 accept one thing. THE LEASH! Try to Photoshop it out using the spot healing brush.

Hey, what kind of dog is that? My wife and I have one that looks really similar, but we've never been too sure what he is (picked him up at the animal shelter). Ours has a slightly shorter snout, but very similar coloring, etc. We think he is maybe shih-tzu/poodle or something.

Anyway, nice shots. I like the one with the statue of liberty.

that is a cute dog, and I think the pictures are pretty good. Though I do like to try to photoshop the leashes out of my pictures of my dog. Hmm this makes me want to get the dog outside and take more pictures of him! I love the last picture, that's my fav. I'd say its a little on the dark side, but still good.

You know, when I took this pic, I had GIMP 1.0, which I don't believe had a heal tool. Only clone & smudge, which I always felt results in a 'photoshopped' look (or should I say 'gimped'?) so I never bothered to edit out the leash. Now I have 2.4. I like these results - not bad for 1/2 hour's work. Amazing what the software can do.

Thanks. We're pretty sure he's a yorkie/toy poodle mix.
