It was rather cold yesterday and this session didn't last as long as I would have liked... would love any c/c on these. Thanks!

These are fantastic! What lens did you use? They are very clear and I like the angles.

Thanks!

What lens did you use?

Most were taken with a 50mm f1.4, but I also used my 85mm f1.8 for some of them.

I really like them :)
#4 kinda freaks me out looks like the dad does not have a body- must be the angle

Some of your links aren't showing up for me, show's a "Content Protected by Owner" icon instead, but the ones that show up are nice. I agree with jillybean though...no body or legs is freaky.

I'm sorry, I know I'm picky. But I find the background distracting on 1 & 3. I think they are compostion issues more than anything because 4 is good.

Really like the boy on the bench #6.

I fixed the ones that disappeared for a little while. And yeah, I didn't see it before, but I do now and totally agree with you - weird! Looks like half his body must be stuck in the ground. He really does have legs though.

Picky is good. Pick away! Helps the learning process. :)

I've never really been a big fan of the "tilting background" method... but I think it works for these (you've made me a believer... heh heh heh). I agree that #4 looks a little odd with the dad having nothing but a torso and a head. The photos with the child on the bench are nothing short of amazing! Beautiful balance of light and nice, crisp color.

Nice job, overall! Isn't autumn a great time for family photos?

I think these were nicely done. I'm a tilter, too. I wasn't loving the tilt on these, but when I added some pop it seemed to make a bit more sense. Bold colors, bold composition. I think you could take advantage more of those vibrant fall colors that are hiding.
