I'm entering one of these for a competition entitled "The Modern World". I can't decide which one to go with.

Its meant to say the blood of the innocent is being spilt in the Middle East.

This one is about America bleeding due to terrorism.
Any tips? :)

The theme is clear, and the photos are technically well executed. I hope that anyone commenting on these will limit their opinions to the photos and not the message.
Good use of color.

Thanks :) I hope so too. I'm not a political person at all, just this idea sprung to mind.

I like the first one the best. The angle is more appealing to my eyes. The third one is good but I think the first one should be entered because it requires more thought from the viewer.

I prefer the first, the flow is more interesting. It goes in more than one directions.
Could I ask what you did use as (false) blood?

I bought a bunch of "Theatrical Blood" at Halloween. :)

#1 works the best for me, but you have chopped off half the label, so #2 is needed for you to be able to get the Innocent Blood bit. So I'd have to say #2, or re-shot #1 and get all the label in

The deadline as last night, and I went with the last pic I posted :) It was really tricky to do, but given that I spent all day on it I'm happy with the result.

I'm sorry, but I like neither. I feel the 'innocent' in the first two is just too corny and the last one is simply wrong... for reasons belmondo wouldn't like me to discuss. The fourth photo is best. But if I were you, I'd do my best to not pour blood from a jar, especially one that has a sticker on it that screams, 'this is the blood of the innocent, get it?'.

Hehe art can't be wrong :) You can't deny that Americans did die due to terrorism. So America did bleed. You also can't deny that at least one cruise missile killed a few innocent people in the Middle East (http://www.picayuneitem.com/articles/2005/03/05/news/09patriot.txt). I'm not a political person so I'm not going to try and aruge with anyone. Those things did happen so if you can't say its "simply wrong".
Without the word innocent people wouldn't know what I was trying to say. They'd be like "who's blood is it? americans, iraqis, british? Whats it trying to say?"
Either way, its done and I won the competition.
