I have the Canon A85 and I take pictures on Super Fine Quality for high resolution printed pictures. The problem is when I want to email pictures, they are huge! Like 1,110 KB. I have to resize each pictures and "save as" a smaller picture for every single picture I want to email.
Is this just how it has to be since I am using super fine mode? Is there a better way?

Hi Sharibrat!
Well I'm on hotmail and there's a great option that allows to attach pictures to your e-mails. Even in superfine mode, they are converted into very low size files and the quality is still extremely good. The pictures are even resized automaticaly!!! But I suppose it's different for every e-mail provider.

If you have Microsoft Outlook Express: right click on picture, and click "send to," then click "mail recipient," and a new screen pops up called "send pictures via e-mail." In this screen you can make your choices on how much you want to reduce the size..."make all my pictures smaller," or "keep original size." If you want more choices (in the same screen, click "show more options." Then choose "small," "medium," or "large" (even the "large" is much smaller than original size). Then click "ok." The next screen you see will be the e-mail, with your picture attached. You can click on it, to see if it is what you want.

I have found the simplest approach is to bring the photo into PhotoShop Elements and then to "Save for Web". This will put the file into a jpeg of reasonable size for transmission.
