Phottix grip/battery life issue

So I haven't used my 30d much since I put the phottix grip on but I'll use it fully charged, put it away ( showing that its still fully charged) then the next time I use it i'll be on the last bar of power flashing. Turning the grip on/off doesn't make a difference...any idea what the deal is?

I had that happen once with mine. I just ejected the batteries and pushed them back in and it showed a full charge.
